Senior Model Portrait - Emma Novak | Emily McGonigle Photography

Welcome to the second installment of my Senior Model introduction blog posts! This week, I would like to introduce to you Emma Novak! Emma is a really cool, down to earth gal, who has a particular passion for broadcast and journalism. In order to be a senior model, I have students fill out an application. In that application, there's a question that asks why they think they would be a good senior model. The thing that Emma said that stuck out to me, was that she wanted to be a senior model to show people that you don't have to be a certain body type or look a certain way to be beautifully photographed.

This is actually something that means a lot to me, because as blogs like Project Maganda try to demonstrate, there isn't just one, cookie-cutter mold of beauty, and any way that I can help someone see the beauty in themselves is most certainly something I want to be a part of. (You can actually read a lot more about these thoughts in my blog post "Why Having Your Portrait Made Is Important".)

I personally think that Emma is GORGEOUS, but I love her attitude, and it's my hope that she is able to continue to spread her message of beauty and positivity through her time as a Senior Model for EMP.

And now, without further ado, check out the behind the scenes photos and finished images from Emma's Model Session! We did three very different looks, and Emma rocked them all!

I'm now booking senior portrait sessions for the class of 2017 (and any class of 2016 graduates that maybe... didn't have a lot of time to get it done during the year ;) ). If you know Emma personally, she can tell you first hand about her experience working with me. Once you're done chatting with her, head on over to my contact page, let me know that Emma sent you, and we'll get started planning your own awesome, custom session!

ALSO... if you're in the class of *2018*... and you think you might be interested in being a senior model for EMP *next year*... head on over to my Senior Model Program page, submit your email, and be notified when next year's program opens! You definitely don't wanna miss out on that!

Special thank you to Molly Green, especially the Coolsprings Galleria location, for supplying some of the pieces for Emma's session. If you've never been there before, you should definitely check it out! They also have a location in Opry Mills Mall, as well as one in Birmingham, AL, if that's closer to where you live!

Also, thank you to Ashley Stevens for doing a great job on Emma's hair and makeup, and to Matthew Simmons for being a huge help on set, as always.
